Round the Clock

The clock is round indeed

It’s been two and a half weeks since I got home and I’ve been working hard ever since, making all my DIY’s round the clock. (With a little (huge) help from my friend)

I haven’t even met all of my friends yet. Hope they’re not too mad at me 🙂

Here are a few photos of what we’ve done so far:

Would you like some tea? /Cups

My helping friend and I made 11 towers so far. I still have 5 more towers to make, give or take. After I finish them all, I will decorate them with tea bags, sugar cubes, tiny playing cards, flowers and everything that might go with it.

I wish, I wish I could make half a cup…

Tag Me

We made  a cup of coffee or two and spread them out on a thick sheet of paper, to get the “old” feeling.

My younger brother’s girlfriend helped me out here with her beautiful hand writing:

Make some room for the mushroom

We made the mushroom out of an old single mattress that my late grandfather made years ago. We made a large cushion out of it. The cushion will sit on a stool.

Cutting the foam

At first we thought about using this fabric, but then we decided to change it to this one:

And now I look much happier! What you see in the background is the costume we made for the caterpillar. At first I was happy with it, but now I’m not so sure about it. Maybe you can help me out here- What do you think about it?

I also made my bouquet; a huge white and red rose. Though I still didn’t take a nice photo of it, so stay tuned!

I ordered my beautiful wedding ring! It was the first I looked at and I just fell in love with it. I tried other rings after just to be sure, but they only approved what I knew already – that I wanted that one. The reason I loved it so much is because it was made in such a way that  makes it look as if someone spread golden fairy dust all over it. And that someone must be a fairy. I never saw this design before so I’m very happy with my choice. I will share a photo of it later on.

I had a wedding hair trial and I think I’m happy with it. Although after the trial I had ideas for how to change the hairdo. Hope I’m not taking a risk here 🙂

So as usual, more to come in the next post and if you have any ideas or remarks, please feel free to leave a comment.

Thanks! 🙂

  1. I love your Alice in Wonderland wedding idea! I love the towers.Do you glue them together? You have really inspired me as I do craft fairs and make teacups into candles, pin cushions etc.I will have to try making a tower.:) I’m thinking of having an Alice in wonderland tea party for my 40th in November so could be a neat idea to make one for that. 🙂 Loving your mushroom and catterpillar too.Great ideas.

  2. Hi! Thanks for reading my blog! 🙂
I’m so happy to hear I inspire you! I really loved your works! You should definitely have a tea party for your birthday. I think it’s the best theme.
Yes, I glue the cups together with a strong glue, one that’s good for China.

If you have any questions, will be very happy to help!
Thanks again and all the best!
